Sports At Crawford

By: Autumn Pratt

The sports at Crawford need to be recognized by the students and staff at school. When you have bigger crowds yelling “Go Crawford!!” it makes athletes feel better and want to impress the school. As a volleyball player I feel that is nice to see students cheer for us at a game. It makes everyone feel special about the sport they're playing and that they have the confidence to be able to get in front of anyone and try your hardest in a game or even at practice.

Let's start with the football games…at the games sometimes there isn’t a lot of people there to show their support. Even though we lose a lot of the games Crawford should still come and show their support to the team.

The Volleyball team: we may lose a lot of games but it's awesome to have the people there for the varsity games. Last year I was on JV and more than half the people left after the varsity games and did’t stay for the JV games which makes the JV team feel bad. We feel like after varsity is done the crowd should stay for the JV games and their show support.

All the sports at Crawford, not just Volleyball and Football, need support and cheers to make them feel valued even if they win or lose. If they win, cheer for them and if they lose, cheer even louder! MVAS, IDEA, CHAMPS, and LAB need to come together and cheer for their Crawford team. Who cares if they win or lose, it's all about sportsmanship.
